Infant covering ears The most common reasons your child would be referred to our office is for the evaluation of a or because your primary care physician suspects a possible heart problem. It is important to stress "heart murmur" is not a diagnosis, but simply means an extra sound coming from the heart. Most heart murmurs in children are normal.
