Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester provides affordable lodging and emotional support for any and all families who need to be near their children while they are receiving health care in the Rochester NY area.
Ronald McDonald "House Within the Hospital"
This 7-bedroom Ronald McDonald House within Golisano Children's Hospital gives parents a welcoming place to rest and recover, while being just minutes away from their child. In addition to warm and homey bedrooms, guests have access to a private bathroom and shower, a large, fully equipped kitchen, living room, laundry room, and other amenities. Perhaps most importantly, families find the support and comfort of others who share the experience of having a seriously ill child. A referral from a healthcare provider is required.

Ronald McDonald House on Westmoreland Drive
Located just three blocks from Golisano Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House on Westmoreland Drive offers 24 guest rooms with private baths, kitchen, family rooms, laundry facilities, meals and snacks, and shuttle services. This facility is open to parents, siblings and extended family of pediatric patients. A referral from a healthcare provider is required.

Ronald McDonald Family Room
Located on the lobby level of Golisano Children's Hospital, the Ronald McDonald Family Room welcomes pediatric patients and their families looking for a break from the hospital room. This facility offers complimentary beverages and snacks, cozy sitting areas, laundry facilities, and showers and is open Monday through Friday. For hours, call (585) 275-7724.
Mental Health & Wellness Family Lounge
The Mental Health & Wellness Family Lounge, located on the ground floor (G-9045) next to the Brighter Days Pediatric Mental Health Urgent Care Center provides respite for families of children receiving mental health care.
Community-based environments promote mental health and wellness, especially for families in need. That's why we've partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities to create this space. Our mission is to infuse peace, learning, and supportive community connections into the lives of family members, caregivers, and friends who are helping loved ones on the road to recovery.
The Mental Health & Wellness Family Lounge includes:
- A quiet space for families to rest, recover, and replenish
- A play area, laundry machine, kitchenette with snacks and coffee, mental health resources, computer, and printer
- Community workshops and courses that are free and open to the public
