Rochester Diabetes Prevention Program
Group program | 52 weeks | 16 weekly + 4 biweekly + 6 monthly one-hour group + 3 individual sessions
In our intensive year-long Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), nationally recognized by the CDC, receive the tools and support you need to improve your health and reduce your risk of complication from type 2 diabetes.
What you can expect:
- CDC-recognized curriculum focused on long-term lifestyle changes and lasting results
- Proven strategies to help you lose weight, improve nutrition and incorporate exercise to reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes
- Practical solutions for overcoming obstacles and staying motivated
- One full year of support and encouragement, including one-hour group sessions and individual visits with program NP
Did you know:
- The DPP may be covered by your insurance company.
- UR Medicine patients are able to keep track of their progress, including physical activity and weight, through MyChart. This also helps our facilitators see how you're doing and gives them an idea of any additional support they can provide.
