If you have an eye emergency, you can call us directly or ask your primary care physician, optometrist, ophthalmologist, or other healthcare provider for a referral. When you call us, our answering service will take basic information from you.

Common eye emergencies include:

• Chemical splash
• Penetrating injuries
• Sudden vision loss
• Blunt trauma to the eye
• Sudden double vision in both eyes
• Headache with eye pressure
• Headache with nausea or vomiting
• Swelling around the eye with sudden vision loss
• Foreign body in the eye
• Sudden onset of new flashes of light
• Sudden onset of floaters or dark curtain
