Dr. Yan-Fang Ren and Dr. Linda Rasubala threw a birthday party for Dr. Bansbach (middle)

During his residency, Dr. Jack Bansbach (GPR ’24), of Brighton, NY, received multiple recognitions for excellence in patient care.

Q: Why did you choose Eastman?
A: It was a perfect match (literally and figuratively since I went through the Match program)!

Q: Best memory of your EIOH residency?
A: Working with our great residents and faculty!

Q: In what way did your Eastman experience allow you to grow?
A: The volume of procedures (particularly implant, OMFS, and endo experience), learning to balance multiple columns, and becoming more skilled in patient and practice management have been great!

Q: Next steps after graduation?
A: Private practice and hopefully part-time teaching. I am considering specializing in the future, potentially in Perio or OMFS, but I just need to see how life plays out!

Q: A person who has inspired you?
A: I can't mention just one! My parents, sister and all my family, girlfriend Karen, mentors Thomas Suranyi (from Boston University), Dr. Michael Mayer, Dr. Michael Yunker, Dr. Dan Barletta, and Dr. Abayon, and all of our incredible GPR residents and faculty!

Q: The one thing you can’t live without?
A: Family and friends!

Q: Best advice you ever received?
A: "Make today your best day"

Q: Other than dentist, what career would you choose?
A: I would have been an attorney!

Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled?
A: Florida

Q: Favorite game to watch or play?
A: Baseball
