Q: Where are you from?
A: Brazil

Q: In what way did your Eastman experience allow you to grow professionally and/or personally?
A: Overall, I am a superior general dentist in every area. I feel more comfortable performing any procedure compared to three years ago. Eastman is a true gem to grow in experience in dentistry if you are open to it. Personally, I believe that I also developed far more patience and endurance as well.

Q: Why did you choose Eastman?
A: Eastman was the most highly-recommended program from my colleagues at NYU, where I worked previously. Also, it seemed like a great value compared to other programs.

Q: Best memory of your EIOH residency?
A: The relationships with classmates, faculty, and staff members- making friendships that will last a lifetime.  Also visiting the Capitol building in Washington D.C with Dr. Rasubala and Dr. Barros as part of advocacy day for oral health resources – these are definitely special memories.

Q: Favorite part of Rochester?
A: Schoen Place by the Erie Canal in Pittsford

Q: Other than dentist, what career would you choose?
A: I always wanted to be a singer or actress, but I am still working on it.

Q: Last time you were in awe?
A: Every day when I see my daughter smiling in the morning. And, the eclipse recently (despite the clouds, it still amazed me).

Q: Your biggest fear?
A: Snakes

Q: The one thing you can’t live without?
A:The faith I have in God.

Q: person who has inspired you?
A: My dad, who was my biggest fan and encourager. I wouldn’t be here without him.

Q: If you could change one thing about yourself?
A: I would take time to slow down more.

Q: One thing few people know about you?
A: I worked as a pet groomer during the time I lived in NYC.

Q: Best advice you ever received?
A: Don’t worry, be happy told by my dad

Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled?
A: Hawaii on my honeymoon

Q: Favorite game to watch or play?
A: Soccer, when Brazil is playing during the World Cup

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Flying

Q: If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Sushi.
