Skip the Pickup! Use MyChart to Have Medications Delivered to Your Home
A new feature in UR Medicine MyChart lets patients select free home delivery for their prescriptions, saving time you would normally spend traveling to and from your local pharmacy. The home delivery option became available Nov. 6 for MyChart users across the UR Medicine enterprise.
How it Works
Users can log in to and select Medications > Refill a Prescription. Under Delivery Method, you can select “Pick up at a pharmacy” or “Deliver by UR Pharmacy Delivery.” From there, you can provide an address and add special instructions. In most cases, deliveries are made within 24 hours.
This added benefit is exclusive to UR Medicine patients, and leaders hope that patients will take advantage of home delivery. This benefit—just like our On Demand Video Visits—is an example of how UR Medicine is making it more convenient to receive care from home.
“We are happy to provide this opportunity to people who no longer have to worry about getting to the pharmacy for the medications they rely on,” said Chief Pharmacy Officer Curt Haas, PharmD. “In the age when home delivery is available for other services, we believe it’s important to offer that same convenience to our patients.”
