Q: Why did you choose Eastman? How did your Eastman experience allow you to grow professionally and/or personally?
A: To join the Periodontics residency program at Eastman Institute for Oral Health was an easy decision for me. This program provides its residents with the foundation to learn from the specialty experts, supports clinical decisions by teaching evidence-based techniques, which allows for a strong clinical experience. The small group of residents allows for an environment where robust relationships between residents and faculty can be established, in addition to building strong friendships with one another. Our program faculty encourage us to strive for excellence and help us see our full potential as specialists in the oral health profession.

Q: Best memory of your EIOH residency?
A: It is hard to select just one of my favorite memories at Eastman. Through this residency, I have made some of the most special friendships; ones that I am certain will last for the rest of my lifetime. Whether it is having a great time as a group at American Academy of Periodontology annual meetings or going on a daily walk with my sole co-resident turned soul-sister, Lucy Johnson, for a “DCT” (Daily Coffee Treat), I reflect on my time at Eastman positively largely due to the people I have navigated this journey with.

Q: Next steps after graduation?
A: I will be entering the world of private practice helping serve the community that means so much to me.

Q: Favorite part of Rochester?
A: For anyone who knows me, it’s clear how much I love my townhome here in Rochester! It’s the perfect place to either unwind and relax or buckle down and study hard; not to mention it is the perfect distance from all the greatest shopping locations!

A: There is more than one answer to this question.

 - My parents who have taught me to set goals and go after them. They have proved to me that they will always be alongside me, encouraging me every step of the way.
 - My mentors in Perio, including those who inspired me to pursue periodontics, and those who have helped me achieve professional successes here at Eastman.

A: I’m from Orchard Park... it has to be football... Go Bills!

Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled?
A: Colchuck Lake in Leavenworth, Washington
